Here's a look at some of the other games from around Northern Kentucky:
- Holmes 63 St Henry 45- No shock here. Elijah Pittman led the Dawgs with 26 and Jamel Riley chipped in with 13. Speed led the way for the Cru' with 13. My favorite part about looking at Holmes games on the message boards is now their stats are always listed with dunks. It cracks me up to read Pittman 26 points 2 dunks 4 blocks so on and so forth.
- Brossart 60 Pendleton County 37- Brossart dominates in the first round of the Mason County Invitational Tournament. G/F Drew Kremer led the Stangs with 18 points and C Jacob Rieger chipped in with 15. Interesting fact about a game that was completely meaningless..... Pendleton started 8th grader Mason Monroe tonight. The middle-schooler scored 4 points. This does set up a rematch with the Camels of Cambpell County (who killed them earlier this year) for Brossart in the Semi-Finals.
- Lexington Lafayette 54 CovCath 51- The Colonels get back on the losing track as their record falls to 3-8. Luke Maile did lead the Colonels with an outstanding 29 point performance on 14 of 20 shooting. Guard Alex Ives pitched in 8 points.
- Dixie Heights 84 Villa 52- This one surprised me. I really thought that Dixie was worse than this and that Villa G Blake Bryan might single-handedly be able to pull of an upset. Bryan did end up with 37 points in the losing effort. I think it looks like St. Henry has this district wrapped up.
